Gbenga Tosin Adedeji

I am an Environmental Health and Public Health professional with 8+ years of experience in health education, occupational safety, sanitation, and sustainable environmental management.

I currently serve at the Oyo State Rural Water and Environmental Sanitation Agency (RUWESA), under the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. My work focuses on advancing WASH goals, achieving Open Defecation Free communities, strengthening solid waste management systems, and delivering public health education to rural populations. I collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement interventions that improve environmental hygiene, reduce disease burden, and promote resilient communities.

Previously, I was a Lecturer at the College of Health Technology, where I trained future Environmental Health Officers in risk assessment, disease prevention, and regulatory compliance. I also served as a Safety Officer, leading workplace safety audits, training, and compliance initiatives.

I hold a BSc in Environmental Health Science and an MSc in Public Health with a focus on occupational and environmental health. I am also a published researcher with interest in the link between environmental exposures, public health outcomes, and sustainable development.
